Rather the 1% was the alternative I thought of to the title of your blog. <br /><br />I put the ad for my survey in the New York Review of Books and the London Times Literary Review and only ran it for a couple of weeks. It was not an ideal sample<br /><br />Yes, the New Yorker is no longer as literary as it once was. When you mentioned in your book that you put together an informal survey and only 13 people responded, I thought that surely there must be more people out there doing this...but perhaps not. <br /><br />My annotating is more along the lines of a word or two - nothing as extensive as yours.
