And when it's not working or unavailable, it is maddening.Richard Katzevhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03466537940588392927noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8215036862051955994.post-81549810414810650682011-06-18T07:47:36.836-10:002011-06-18T07:47:36.836-10:00Yeah, but she waited until the very end to say it ...Yeah, but she waited until the very end to say it ;) I can't say that my desk is my home. I seem to spend more time trying to figure out how not to sit at my desk than I actually sit there. That's why I have a laptop and wifi at my house. Have laptop, will travel. :)Stefaniehttp://somanybooksblog.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8215036862051955994.post-11710070804645949212011-06-17T08:44:08.477-10:002011-06-17T08:44:08.477-10:00Zadie and I go back a long way.

That must have been quite a treat. I read the Lahiri essay yesterday and enjoyed it. What I found really interesting was how she didn't feel like she quite belonged in America but neither did she belong in India. I can see how such a dislocation can foster the desire to connect, especially through writing since she was such a reader.Stefaniehttp://somanybooksblog.comnoreply@blogger.com
